MACY’S PARADE --- I try to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade every holiday as it’s just a pretty neat program from concept to execution, as well as an interesting barometer of where things are right now in pop culture. I actually rode in it years back with an artist I was working with and it was a totally unique ride to literally be in the parade looking out.

Yesterday’s parade (its 88th) was intriguing as always, but there were so many plugs for NBC and NBC-shows, that at times it got a bit muddled. Matt Ryan, from NBC’s Constantine was there; even while his show suddenly shut down production last week. Go figure!

They heavily tub-thumped the upcoming live Peter Pan, with Alison Williams and Christopher Walken as well. Clearly, they've had a number of rehearsals to produce the commercials. One thought: Walken as Captain Hook, looks to be quite the soft-shoe man. Never knew Hook had such moves!

I always enjoy the music acts and this year a great crop of performers were on hand, though Idina Menzel I think was the oldest performer there.

Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, Becky G (who reminded me of Shakira and was exceptional!), Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World), Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden, were there, but the highlight would have to be Kiss doing “Rock And Roll All Nite (sic).”

Gene Simmons and his pack have long-embraced all forms of merchandising, so, while I don't readily know why they were even here, maybe get set for a Kiss-boutique at Macy’s. Crazy!

ALL THINGS THAT ROCK --- Ever wanted to meet some of your favorite band members and singers at once? The All Things That Rock Festival, beginning today in Oaks, PA, can make that wish come true. Attendees will have access to meet and greets, Q&A panels, photo and autograph sessions, VIP packages, giveaways, and door prizes. With over 100 vendors, guests can buy, sell, or trade nearly any rock n' roll collectible. Special guests include Peter Criss (KISS), Micky Dolenz (The Monkees), Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Ed Kowalczyk (ex-Live), Denny Laine (Wings/Moody Blues), professional insider May Pang, David Uosikkinen (The Hooters), Vince Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Jade Starling (Pretty Poison), Billy J. Kramer and more.

Hosted by Eddie Trunk, the festival will take place at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Also, Dolenz will perform a live show backed by Van Halen-tribute band Romeo Delight, on Saturday night.

Our friend PR-pasha Randy Alexander (as well as Scott Segelbaum) will be on hand as the event’s mouthpiece as well.

LAMBERT OUT --- Adam Lambert celebrated Miley Cyrus‘22nd birthday party at Factory Nightclub, last week at Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood.

The 32-year-old entertainer was spotted in the photo booth that evening, where he had fun with the props put out for guests – including licking and fondling a blow up doll while surrounded his entourage.

Cyrus’ new bf Patrick Schwarzenegger was on hand as well.

CLOSING NOTES --- PR-mouthpiece David Salidor at Musu Sushi in Roslyn, Long Island ...

Yep, they'll be a sequel for 1996's Independence Day; the original boasting Will Smith ... who sadly won't be involved in the new one. But, maybe Jeff Goldblum? Hope so ...

The trailer for the new Jurassic World movie, with Chris Pratt and Jane Greer look great; but, why not feature Vincent D'Onofrio in it? It's the long-awaited sequel to the series of Jurassic Park movies - the first one came out in 1993.
