NATIONAL FUNDRAISER FOR 1969 STONEWALL CAR

The Stonewall Car

There is only one authentic souvenier of the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion
and the answer is the outstanding, metallic blue convertible that the
NYC Police Dep't illegally impounded on Friday night, June 27, 1969.
This vehicle is, without a doubt, the equivalent of Rosa Parks's bus!

Last month, the famous 1969 Stonewall Car was cheered by hundreds of
thousands of spectators - as it is every year - along the grand route
of the annual NY City GLBT Pride Parade on "the last Sunday in June"!
The STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("SVA") has ~finally~
launched its first fund-raising campaign for the infamous blue 1969
Cadillac De Ville convertible a.k.a. the "Stonewall Car" since 1999!
It is one of the most famous cars in the United States! Can U think
of one car that is more well-known other than, of course, President
John F. Kennedy's 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible? Meanwhile,
everyone loves to see the SVA's 1969 Cadillac convertible's rare NYC
appearances, usually in the annual New York City GLBT Pride parades.

Nonetheless, few realize that there are necessary expenses attached
with the classic car. All of these decades, the S.V.A. has met the
financial responsibilities alone. After 45 years, enough is enough!

Monies raised shall be directed exclusively for car costs including
maintenance, garaging, insurance, license plates, inspection, tires,
parts, fuel, oil, etc. in addition to some planned restorations and
pro-active and decorative replacement of parts on and in the SW-car.
After all, the classic and historic vehicle is now 45+ years old!!!!

the famous Stonewall Cadillac convertible impounded at the 1969 Stonewall Uprising!
God bless the selfless members of the STONEWALL Veterans Association for successfully maintaining this historic vehicle for the Gay Community and beyond! The car now belongs to the history of the World! Support the Stonewall Car! Pridely, Leigh McManus/SVA
