Actress Kathy Najimy surprised her husband Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band with an exciting weekend trip to Las Vegas for his 40th birthday. The couple flew in on a private jet and began the celebration by checking into their luxurious Siena Suite at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino on Friday afternoon. They loved the one bedroom suite and Dan couldn't stop talking about the beautiful view of the Strip. Later in the evening, Kathy and Dan headed down to Lagasse's Stadium where they kicked off the evening with a cocktail party in the company of their family and friends. Celebrity guests included Ricki Lake, Camryn Manheim, Adam Corolla, Helen Hunt, Cheri Oteri and Nia Vardalos. The party was held in a private VIP Luxury Box which housed a pool table, white sofas with colorful pillows, old-school video games, (Ricki Lake & Helen Hunt had a blast playing Miss Pacman), and an outside patio. The guests enjoyed Emeril Lagasse's signature hors 'oeuvres: Chicken Sliders, Mini Crab Cakes with Remoulade Sauce and Creole Broiled Shrimp Cocktail as they drank beer, wine and water. Suzanne The Duchess, The Venetian Opera Singer, made her way to the party to sing an astounding "Happy Birthday" to Dan in Italian Opera while all the guests raised their glasses for a champagne toast. Everyone had a wonderful time posing for pictures, dancing and mingling. The party continued later Friday the evening as they headed to TAO. The group of 30 people arrived to at 9:30pm and had a special private table on the loft of TAO restaurant overlooking the scenic signature Buddha. The table was decorated with special snow globes that had pictures of Dan inside them, dice and other fun Vegas-esque items. The group included actresses, Helen Hunt, Nia Vardalos, Camryn Manheim, Ricki Lake, Cheri Oteri, and comedian Adam Corolla among others. They dined on a special menu of Sushi Rolls, Tao Temple Salads, Roasted Thai Buddha Chicken, Hong Kong XO Shrimp and Soy Ginger Glazed Salmon. Actress Meg Ryan joined the group late at 10:30 pm, hugged the birthday boy then sat next to Helen Hunt and the two chatted and caught up with each other. As they dined Kathy stopped the dinner to have Dan's best friends give speeches to celebrate his 40th, Helen Hunt included, and the crew did one large toast to commemorate. Next , Kathy presented Dan with a custom Vegas style cake from TAO with two large dice and a Vegas sign on top stating "Happy 40th Birthday Dan!" The crew dined on the custom cake and headed into TAO Nightclub where they had a private raised table in the clubs MOAT VIP section , stocked with Grey Goose and champagne and continued the birthday celebration into the night. On Saturday Kathy and Dan, joined by friends including Meg Ryan, Camryn Manheim and Nia Vardalos enjoyed brunch at Dos Caminos. The restaurant's famed Guacamole started the meal, which also featured Huevos en Cazuela, Eggs and Chorizo and Dos Rancheros along with Asada and Mahi Taco.
