MAYA ANGELOU NOT IN HOSPITAL AND IS FINE

Literary great Maya Angelou is not ill as several websites are reporting. She wasn’t hospitalized last night in LA. But a certain website, which seems to be the standard for breaking stories these days, got this wrong. In an update on the story the site says that “Angelou is alive and well in St. Louis today and heading off to New York City for the next 2-3 weeks.” In fact if you would like to see this grand lady, she will be in the Big Apple November 4th at Saks Fifth Avenue @ 50th street. The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 and the requested donation is $5oo.oo and will benefit The Maya Angelou Center For Health Equity. If fact our own Rolonda Watts will be the moderator.
