Pink Singing star Pink is determined to live a more culturally diverse life. The pop sensation wants to be fluent in French by the time she's 35. Pink, real name Alicia Moore, fell for the language of love after listening to late iconic French singer Edith Piaf. And the 29-year-old singer was so moved that she signed up for lessons and plans to be bilingual in just a couple of years. She says, "I was listening to a lot of French music, old singers like Edith Piaf. It was inspiring. "So I'm taking French classes and I've given myself a target of being fluent by the time I'm 35."

British star Sienna Miller has won $27,750 in damages from a British newspaper over invasion of privacy claims regarding a set of photographs they published. Miller was furious when the Daily Star printed photographs of her in Los Angeles California on September 11, and she filed suit accusing publishing chiefs of violating her privacy. Miller has now accepted damages from the newspaper in an out-of-court settlement, and the newspaper's editors have also agreed to print an apology to the star. A statement from the Daily Star bosses reads, "On September 11th we published an article about the actress Sienna Miller. A photograph of Sienna in a building in Los Angeles accompanied the article. We accept, as we said in the article, that Ms. Miller was extremely harassed and distressed by persistent pursuit and intimidating tactics adopted by numerous paparazzi in seeking to obtain photographs of her, including the very photograph that we published. Janet Jackson Pop star Janet Jackson has been released from a Montreal, Canada hospital after she was admitted to the emergency room with a mystery illness yesterday.The singer was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital on Monday night, just before she was due to take to the stage for her latest stop on her Rock Witchu tour. Janet "got suddenly ill" during a sound check and was taken to seek emergency medical attention. Former television reality show star Nicole Richie is driving once again after a year when she was convicted of driving under the influence (DUI). Nicole's license was officially changed from ’suspended’ to ‘restricted’ on September 19th, according to Los Angeles California Department of Motor Vehicles records. Richie served 82 minutes behind bars and had to undertake an 18-month anti-DUI course after she was caught driving the wrong way down a freeway ramp road. California police investigating Hollywood star Heather Locklear's weekend arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) believe the actress was high on prescription drugs at the time of her arrest.The actress was taken into custody by police in Santa Barbara California after a local reported her "driving erratically" upon leaving a parking lot in the city. She was then booked for DUI and being under the influence of a controlled substance, and held behind bars overnight before being released yesterday without posting bail. Hollywood legend Paul Newman has lost his long battle with cancer at the age of 83.The icon had reportedly been given only weeks to live after allegedly completing chemotherapy treatment at a New York City hospital in August. Newman was pictured being wheeled out of the Weill Cornell Medical Centre which specializes in cancer treatment He was looking thin and frail last July which ignited fears for his health He withdrew as director from a production of Of Mice and Men after reportedly being diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year. He died last night. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in January 1925, Newman served in the Navy in World War II. Newman hoped of being accepted for pilot training, but his plan was foiled when a flight physical revealed he was colorblind. He eventually became a radioman and gunner.
