Leland Abrams With Russell Young And Jared Abrams

Three hundred art lovers enjoyed a rare performance at Stephan Keszler’s Gallery in Southampton last week, as British artist Russell Young demonstrated his silkscreen production in front of the rapt audience. The artist produced several images from his “Fame + Shame” collection such as Elizabeth Taylor, Kurt Cobain and a “sparkling” Marilyn Monroe.The highlight of the show was when the artist printed “Young Blood Gun on Paper.” Given Young uses his own blood as the ink for the print, it is a very limited edition. Most were sold on the spot. Other attendees included David Gamble, Rachel Perkoff, Christina and Marc Rosen, Merritt and Carl Schlanger, Annette, Maxine, Stella and Marc Meire, Jack and Barbara Tichner, Jared and Leland Abrams, Irina and Ed Sullivan, Emily and David Wiesner, Wendy Slutzkin, Ronni Anderson Ramirez, Randi Carr Alexander and Kelly and Jay Sugarman. The show runs through July 20th.
