MADONNA SAY'S NEW YORK CITY DIED

Editors Note: I agree Madonna. I remember dancing with you at Danceteria in the 80's. Everything has changed in New York City because the most talented people that ran the parties have either died from Aids or can't afford to live here anymore. Many of the artists have moved to Miami or Hollywood where they can get cheap rent. Little studio apartments are going for two thousand a month at least. One bedrooms are going for three thousand. The greedy landlords are forcing clubs, restaurants and every other business to close because they can't afford the rent increases. One club I know was paying 8 thousand a month, and when his lease was up the landlord wanted 38 thousand a month to renew. The talent is gone and that means the fun times are also gone. Very rarely do I go to a event that can compare to the parties of the 80's. New York City is only for the rich now and the annoying tourist's !
